Flights coming from a terminal at Newark Liberty International Airport had been temporarily stopped Sunday evening while officials were looking into a feasible security breach.
Officials reacted when a man was seen moving in the wrong direction along the exit lane in between the public area and the “sterile” area at about 5:20 p.m. At first, the TSA reacted by halting screening. But around two and a half hours later, the TSA instructed all travellers in the sterile area to go back to the public area where they would perform rescreening.
