911 Sweatshirt Sparks High School Controversy

Click On Detroit is reporting 15 Arab-American students from Edsel Ford High School have gotten themselves into trouble because of a sweatshirt they had designed during the holiday vacation.

The number 11 can is seen on the back side of the sweatshirt, and is designed to appear like the World Trade Center Towers. The school’s mascot, a thunderbird, can be seen moving toward the 11. Below the artwork, a tagline says, “You can’t bring us down.” The students were wearing the sweatshirts at school Monday. They were quickly taken to the principal’s office where their sweatshirts were taken away.
