Al-Qaeda-Linked Man Shot In Home of Danish Cartoonist

A man from Somalia having ties with al-Qaeda was shot when breaking into the home of Kurt Westergaard, a Danish cartoonist who portrayed Islam’s prophet Mohammed in what the Danish Security and Intelligence Service called a “terror-related” act.

The 28-year-old was shot by the police, getting injuries in his knee and hand while he was entering the cartoonist’s Aarhus home. The man was equipped with a knife as well as a hatchet yesterday, said the service in a report on its website. He ended up being arrested and faced with attempted murder.
