British Embassy staff in Romania were targeted by a suspected al-Qaeda terrorist brandishing a sword.The Iraqi was pounced on by police as he brandished the nine-inch blade near the buildings gates in the capital, Bucharest.Romanias SRI intelligence service are understood to have had the suspect under surveillance for days after he entered the country, according to The Sun.

Second suspicious device discovered

A TransLink attendant at the Metro-town SkyTrain Station in Burnaby found a suspicious device roughly six hours after a makeshift bomb was discovered on the tracks in Surrey.

While Transit police said early indications were that it “doesnt look anything like” the Surrey device, as of 10 p.m. Friday, an RCMP bomb disposal unit was still trying to determine whether the Burnaby discovery was dangerous.

A dirty bomb attack on the UK is a “real threat” and every country has to be vigilant against a nuclear strike, the Foreign Office has warned.

Passengers and crew of an Abuja-bound aircraft belonging to Arik Air were thrown into panic on Tuesday when a passenger  behaving in a strange manner stood up and   screamed Allahu Akbar(God is great) midair.

The scared passengers, who took off from Maiduguri, Borno State, rushed to the strange passenger identified as Aminu Galadima, grabbed him and searched him to ascertain if he had a bomb strapped to  his body.

Tehran Declares Intent To Enrich Uranium To 90% For Military Purposes – Nuclear Submarines

In recent months, Iranian regime spokesmen have conducted a campaign of statements regarding Iran’s intent to enrich uranium for use in nuclear-fueled ships and submarines – the latter a patently military use of nuclear power.

Regime officials, regime dailies, and websites close to the regime issued no fewer than 12 such statements, in which they declared Iran’s intent to enrich uranium for nuclear fuel to power both surface sea craft and submarines. It should be noted that while nuclear fuel for surface craft entails uranium enrichment of 50-60%, nuclear-powered submarines require enrichment of 90%, which is the same level needed for the production of a nuclear bomb.

Report: 4 injured after explosion at kosher store

French news agency is reporting that four people were injured when a small package bomb exploded inside a kosher grocery store in a Paris suburb.The Sipa news agency says that the small explosion was set off by two hooded people dressed in black who entered the store around midday and put a package inside, citing an unnamed police official and a Jewish organization.

The two fled after throwing a rock through the shops window shortly before the explosion, the police official said. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not allowed to speak publicly about the investigation.

A Jordanian militant leader linked to Al Qaeda warned Sunday that his extremist group will launch “deadly attacks” in neighboring Syria to topple President Bashar Assad.

In a speech delivered to a crowd protesting outside the prime minister’s office in Amman, Mohammad al-Shalabi, better known as Abu Sayyaf, told Assad that “our fighters are coming to get you.”

Abu Sayyaf is the head of the Salafi Jihadi group that produced several Al Qaeda linked militants who fought U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past 10 years. They are also blamed for the 2002 assassination of US aid worker Laurence Foley outside his Amman home.
