Israel and the US have collected a great deal of information about how Islamic terrorists operate. Much of this data will continue to be secret for quite a while, but new pieces of information are made public once in awhile. The latest revelation is in fact confirmation of several older items of information. Suicide bombers are usually persuaded, not forced, to undertake their missions.
Israel has captured no less than fifteen suicide bombers who did not accomplish their mission. These terrorists were extensively questioned, as were relatives and acquaintances. The Israelis also collected data on dead suicide bombers, including email or tapped telephone calls along with other material the bomber left behind.
