Homeland Security Dialogue – Idea Submission & Voting Ends Tonight
The initial round for submitting and voting on ideas in the “Dialogue on the Quadrennial Homeland Security Review” ends in just a couple of hours (Sunday at Midnight).
If you have a moment tonight we have submitted on last idea and ask you to please review it and vote.
The proposal is as follows:
I suggest the creation of a Citizens Advisory Board. The creation of this board would be useful in opening the lines of communication between private citizens and government in matters related to Homeland Security.
The Advisory Board would act in partnership with the community and DHS, providing an important and much needed communication link, which could relay concerns, provide feedback and encourage increased dialogue between the private sector and government officials.
The board should consist of both appointed and nominated positions, ensuring that communities, volunteer groups and grassroots organizations have an equal voice in the selection process.
