Federal authorities say the attack was planned for May of this year by it never happened because of increased security. Nevertheless, police in Las Cruces say they will continue to work under an elevated terror alert.
They are watching out for anything that may look suspicious and are asking people to do the same. Federal authorities did not have specifics about the attack, they did say possible Al-Qaida cells were stationed in New Mexico. As for military installations in the state they are staying vigilant but are not on heightened security.
