A security scare shut down a busy shopping mall in Niagara County. Customers were evacuated from Prime Outlets stores after a suspicious suitcase was left by people who drove off in a car.
Around 9 p.m. someone called Town of Niagara Police, saying three suspicious people left a suspicious looking package at the mall’s front entrance, then drove off in a van. The caller described all the woman and two men as being of Middle Eastern descent.
The incident forced police to clear employees and visitors at closing time Monday night.
