The suspected leader of a militant Muslim cell plotted to deal Spain the biggest blow of its history a suicide truck bomb laden with half a ton of explosives aimed at killing the countrys top judges investigating Islamic terror and destroying their case files, officials said Wednesday.
After the Madrid train bombings, Spain took several steps to appease the terrorists , in an effort to ward off any future attacks. It is clearer than ever before that giving into such demands in no way minimizes the risk of attack.
