University of North Carolina police have a suspect in custody after a sport utility vehicle plowed through a popular gathering spot on the Chapel Hill campus.
Six people were treated at U-N-C Hospitals, though none was seriously injured in the bizarre lunchtime incident.
University authorities say police are holding a 23-year-old suspect (Mohammed Reza Taheriazar) who was a student there as recently as last fall. They plan to charge him with multiple counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
