The New York Fire Department is building two state-of-the-art boats equipped for terror attacks, the New York Post said.
The department reportedly is spending $30 million of Homeland Security funding to build the fast-response boats, which will include nuclear and biological decontamination showers and anti-toxin air filters.
Officials plan to dock one of the vessels on Staten Island. Where to dock the second is yet to be determined.
