Small Plane Has Strikes Building In New York

A small aircraft has crashed into a high-rise residential building at 72nd Street and York in Manhattan, police said. Police are en route to the site, said to be at 525 E. 72nd Street. Flames and smoke could be seen pouring from the high rise apartment as fire engines raced to the scene. No Additional Details Are Yet Available.
Update: Although terrorism is not currently suspected, as a precaution, fighter jets are being scrambled over several unnamed American cities at this time.
Update: 1:55 pm PST: New York Yankees manager Joe Torre says the plane that crashed into a building in Manhattan is registered to team pitcher Cory Lidle.
