There are many other resources to learn from. The book "Terror at Beslan" is an excellent source of information. In it the author, Giduck, lines out several things he learned as a highly trained operative that toured the site where the Russian tragedy took place. One of the main things is make your school a Hard Target. Americans have proven (and I support too) that we will not trade freedom for security, but there are things you can do to make our schools harder to attack. I can't wait to see what the are going to put out in part two, but if you really want to learn read Giduck's book, and learn from other experts like Lt. COL. Dave Grossman. I am horrified when I think of our children and grandchildren being targets of these monsters. Go back to the Bible and read what Jesus said about his little children. Right now our country has once again fallen asleep and is forgetting the horror of 9-11. When it happens this time the scale will be unimaginable. There are only a sparse few of my friends that are on the same page with me. We are trying to become proactive, but in most cases our cries are in vain--crying in the wilderness of total detachment. We are frustrated but will not give up, even if it means only preparing our loved ones including close friends. I am an ardent believer that an attack of some kind is coming soon.

But I do have to state that it is very possible the Slovak men were just curious. My husband's family is Czech, and they do not have school buses in the former Czechoslovakia. Kids walk or tkae public buses. It was a point of interest for his family when they visited here for the first time! I believe that all these incidents are tied together.

Become a pain in their ass, go right to the principal and demand to see him or her, you have the right to demand action. Also, start organizing. Find other parents who will share your concern, as a group you will make a strong concentrated force. Keep trying! I have contacted my child's school officials, and have sent letters to my state senators from Washington State, as well as my distric represenative and DHS. I have heard nothing from them, so what are we to do? Obviously, our concerns are falling on deaf ears. I have done what was asked of me as a parent.
