A state college in northwest Ohio closed its main campus Wednesday afternoon and canceled all classes following a security violation, the school’s Web site said.
A threat was directed at Rhodes State College, said David Dustin, spokesman for the Toledo office of the FBI. He said he did not know how the threat was made or delivered.
Allen County sheriff’s deputies were called to the two-year college, which according to its Web site has nearly 3,000 students.
Campus security at Rhodes had no comment and a message was left at the college president’s office. Messages seeking additional information were left at the sheriff’s office and the State Highway Patrol.
