Agencies Plan Homeland Security Exercise In Winston-Salem

Several hundred representatives of multiple local agencies will take part in a homeland security exercise Sunday night in Winston-Salem.
The training exercise will involve a high volume of emergency reponse traffic around the Hanes Mall complex.
Responders from Hanes Mall, Forsyth Medical Center, Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and the Office of Emergency Management will take part in the training.
The operation begins around 10:30 p.m.
Businesses and motorists should note that after 10 p.m., only McDonalds and TGI Fridays customers will be allowed into the Hanes Mall complex.
Those motorists must use the Hanes Mall Boulevard entrance.
Normal activity should resume around 4 a.m. Monday.
