Al Jazeera Airing New Bin Laden Audio Tape

Osama bin Laden is sending a message to insurgents in Iraq. In an audio tape airing on Al-Jazeera television, the leader of al-Qaida warns of division and calls on the insurgents to unite and “gather under one banner.”Bin Laden says they have been lax in their duty to unite their ranks.

The authenticity of the tape could not be immediately confirmed but the voice resembles that of bin Laden in previous messages.

Al-Jazeera isn’t saying how it obtained the tape.
