Loaded Handgun Detected At DuBois Regional Airport

State police said two men were apprehended after one tried to carry a handgun into the DuBois Regional Airport in Jefferson County on Monday. Police said around 1 p.m., two men passed through airport security before their scheduled flight. Airport security X-rays revealed one man carrying a loaded 9 mm handgun. Both men were taken to the Pennsylvania State Police barracks in Dubois, where police found the man did have permit for the weapon. Police said the investigation is ongoing and charges could be forthcoming.Officials from the Transportation Safety Administration, U.S. Airways and the airport declined comment.
