Police Respond To Report Of Gunman With Explosives On Casino Shuttle Bus

Police were in a standoff with a man aboard a shuttle bus outside the Showboat Casino-Hotel after they responded to reports of a man with a gun outside the casino Tuesday night.
The man claimed to have explosives. Initial reports suggested the man had hostages, but later information being broadcast by police indicated the man was alone on the bus.
New Jersey State Police Sgt. Stephen Jones confirmed that the state police were assisting the police with an “incident” on a shuttle bus in front of the Showboat but could not provide further details and directed all inquiries to the Atlantic City police.
