The Spokane Bomb Squad has disabled a suspicious device near the intersection of Grand and Stadium in Pullman.
The report came in about 3:30 p.m. of a suspicious package next to a dumpster near the Kinkos store. The bomb squad was called in from Spokane and an evacuation of all businesses in the immediate vicinity – approximately 300 foot radius – of the North Grand Village Center were evacuated as a precaution.
The package is about one foot by one foot in diameter and contains several bottles that may be attached to some batteries, according to radio station KQQQ in Pullman.
The Spokane Bomb Squad arrived on the scene around 6 p.m. to investigate the package and had it disarmed by 6:30 p.m.
