A report of a suspected bomb in a residence on North Main Street Friday evening triggered a multi-agency investigation.
A man living at 1106 N. Main St. reported to the Fostoria Police Department that he found three sticks with a clock taped to them in his roommate’s belongings Friday evening, according to Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The sheriff’s office was contacted by the Fostoria Police Department around 7 p.m. to call in a bomb squad from Allen County.
Radio logs from the sheriff’s office go on to say the Fostoria Police Department reported finding numerous guns in the basement of the residence.
The Findlay Police Department was contacted as part of an effort to locate the man suspected of owning the suspected bomb, according to the sheriff’s office reports. Fostoria firefighters blocked off the 1,100 block of North Main Street during the incident, according to fire department reports.
