A transatlantic flight from Atlanta to Paris was diverted to Gander, N.L after police were notified on Sunday night of a bomb threat.

The plane, with 208 passengers and an 11-member crew, landed safely at the central Newfoundland airport.

All passengers and crew were evacuated while the RCMP conducted a search, which included the use of a bomb-detection police dog.

No bomb was found and the plane subsequently departed for France.
