Spanish police have detected an al-Qaeda plot to attack UN peacekeepers in the Lebanon and Afghanistan.

A detailed set of instructions on the use of remote-controlled bombs targeting these troops was published online for al-Qaeda’s European cells, according to a Spanish radio station’s report.

The eight-page handbook provides instructions regarding three different ways of setting off unmanned light aircraft and cars by remote control.

The handbook, believed to be first published in the beginning of last month, also narrates ways to escape undetected, the radio station reported Monday.

The report, quoting police officials, said the training manual describes how to target the “military command structures of the enemies of Islam,” avoiding suicide attacks.

The training manual on Internet guides al-Qaeda cadres to carry out the attack using methods believed to have never been experimented before.
