A federal judge Monday afternoon ordered a man accused of taking part in the May 4 pipe bomb attack on the San Diego federal courthouse to be held without bail at the request of a defense lawyer.
Attorney Stephen Hoffman said he didn’t have enough information about the charges against Eric Robinson to make an informed bail request.
Robinson, 43, of San Diego, is accused of driving a woman with a bomb to the courthouse, waiting while she left a backpack with three pipe bombs at the front door, and then driving her away.
Federal prosecutors have charged him and two women, Rachelle Carlock and Ella Sanders, with conspiracy and using weapons of mass destruction in the blast at the courthouse and an April 25 bombing at a FedEx distribution center.
They have not indicated a motive.
