Police have continued searching for a man that threw a molotov cocktail inside a Super WalMart in the Westside Saturday afternoon.
The bomb squad was called in to investigate a device with explosive liquids at the Super WalMart off of South Padre Island Drive and Greenwood Drive.
WalMart employees evacuated the building, and hundreds of customers were directed to wait outside until the bomb squad took control of the device around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Officers believe the suspect is also responsible for throwing a molotov cocktail at La Palmera mall earlier this past week.
Luckily, no one was seriously hurt in Saturday’s incident.
“He walked in, threw the device over the top of an aisle, and hit a 19-year-old female in the head. Then, it landed on the ground and did not shatter,” Corpus Christi Police Department Captain David Cook said.
Police are still looking for a black man in his early 20s, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt with eagles on it, a baseball hat and light-colored jeans.
