Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda may be planning a terror attack against the United States which will “outdo by far” the attacks of September 11 in 2001.
The Arab newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi in London is reporting a senior Yemen official close to the terrorist group is warning of a new wave of terror attacks against the U.S.
The source, who is not named in the report, is quoted as being “very close to Al-Qaeda”
The newspaper is edited by Abdel al-Bari Atwan, who was the last journalist to edit Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in 1996.
In a message to his followers, bin Laden is reported to have asked that they ignore all efforts to reconcile with various governments and other political parties.
The newspaper’s source said it was likely a sign of an imminent attack may be sent within the coming weeks.
This information contained in this report comes from a variety of sources and has not been confirmed by U.S. Intelligence or law enforcement at this time.

Osama bin Laden is planning an attack against the United States that will “outdo by far” September 11, an Arab newspaper in London has reported.
And according to a former senior Yemeni al-Qaeda operative, the terrorist organization has entered a “positive phase”, reinforcing specific training camps around the world that will lead the next “wave of action” against the West.
The warning, on the front page of an Arabic newspaper published in London, Al-Quds Al-Arabi - and widely reported in the major Italian papers - quotes a person described as being “very close to al-Qaeda” in Yemen.
The paper is edited by Abdel al-Bari Atwan, who is said to be the last journalist to interview Osama bin Laden in 1996. According to the report, bin Laden is himself closely following preparations for an attack against the US and aims to “change the face of world politics and economics”. The operative is quoted as saying that “this will be shown by the fact that we now control a major part of the south of Somalia”.
The ex-operative says he remains in contact with current chiefs of the organisation in Yemen and that only six months ago bin Laden had sent a message to all jihad cells in the Arab world which asked them not to interact with their governments or local political parties and to deny any request for mediation or formal talks.
The source also said that during the next few days the terrorist organization may send a sign of its violent intentions.
The warning has emerged at the same time as publication of a report leaked to The Telegraph newspaper which reveals that a document drawn up by the intelligence branch of the Ministry of Defence says that thousands of extremists are active in the UK.
The document says the operatives are predominantly UK-born and aged between 18 and 30. Many are believed to have been trained in overseas terrorist camps.
Security officials, The Telegraph reports, are convinced al-Qaeda cells will attempt another “spectacular” inside the UK with major transport centres, such as airports and train stations, the most likely targets. Other targets include the Houses of Parliament, Whitehall and Buckingham and St James’ palaces, with the threat level described as “severe.
The report, which has been prepared by the intelligence branch of the British Ministry of Defence, MI5 and Special Branch, warned that secret cells of al-Qaeda extremists based in London, Birmingham and Luton are planning attacks in the UK.

Dave is spot on correct. To get any sort of intelligent, unbiased news reporting (regardless of the particular outlet’s political climate) you need to go OUTSIDE the U.S. MSM and get it elsewhere.
Sadly, our country will suffer another 9/11 attack and now that Muhammad Obama is in power, who will the Democrat Party blame then? They hold all the cards now, so any blame outside of themselves will ring hollow and disingenuous (as opposed to what?) and will be seen as such.
Osama Bin Ladin and his terror cells are working very hard at planning and executing another series of attacks, as was always the case regarles of what NBC, CBS, ABC, et. al. said wouldn’t happen once Muhammad Obama became elected, and it’s just a matter of time before that happens. It’s a shame that more innocent citizens will lose their lives before the powers that be figure out that it doesn’t matter to a terrorist if you have a “D” or an “R” before your name. We’re all fair game strictly because of our lifestyle and freedoms that they hate so vehemently, end of story.

Just pray that it has nothing to do with January 20th! I can think of no greater “force multiplier” than a couple million indigenous but mislead Americans.

I have never seen so many hits on my blog site as this weekend (17k+ and 24k+) when I reported that “Jihadists Call On Muslims to Attack” and THIS STORY.
The only other time that I had thousands of visitors (6k+) was when I wrote “Allah Willing, the American Empire Will Collapse”.
The thousands of hits are primarily coming through another site I maintain that links to covertress blog.
Seems those who are so interested in “muslim attack stories” are actually watching precious metals real-time quotes and visiting my stories as an aside.
Still, 24KT.us has a usual viewer base of 300-700 daily.
One could conclude that there are many just waiting for the word. I hope I’m wrong.

I agree with Tracy regarding President Bush’s handling of 9/11. I believe we were a populace anxiously looking to our leader for reassurance and Bush delivered. He reminded us what it meant to be an American. He kept us from panicking and held us steady during those darkest of days.
The chads of 2004 were no accident. Bush was meant to be our President on 9/11 just as Gore was meant to win the Nobel Peace Prize…neither of which would have happened without the chads…see, God does work in mysterious ways!

When 9/11 happen who blamed President Bush? This can’t be blamed on anyone. It doesn’t matter if Obama or McCain is in office if we get another terriost attack. Any simpleton can see that a huge attack is emienant.911 will be a cakewalk. Concider these facts:(1) Our economiy is in a state of near collapse. Bush himself admitted this on national TV. (2) Our military is soon to return from Irak. It took millions of dollars for them to get there and billions to sustain them while they are there. It will take millions to bring them back to the US……and millions more to send them back, and billions that we do not have. (3) Our new president has made a world wide public announcement that his #1 priority is to capture Bin Laden.
….Now just think about all of this for a moment. If any of us were the leader of a small country wanting to attack a huge enemy, and we knew where the weak areas were, would not we attack right about now? It is coming and our economy will collapse with it….and there is nothing that mortal man will be able to do to change this end. A nerve gas attack from an ultralight on ten different cities is what I see coming. This will be followed by dozens of low level attacks(sniper,suicide, etc.) all throughout the US. It will devestate this nation. We can fight these people by conducting warfare just as our enemies…and we have the deadliest terror weapons on the face of the entire earth….but somehow our governement does not have the fortitude or the common sence to do this. There is no strategic objective behind another terrorist attack. None. It will not happen. American economic hegemony is already waning, and increasingly so. Our military is sapped by two incessant guerrilla conflicts. Excluding the destruction of Israel, that is what the terrorists want, strategically speaking.
So, if there is an attack, it will be on Israel, not the US.
Well, with what was said about any attack on Israel, we are now watching Israel marching into GAZA. I cannot believe that the terrorists will sit by and watch this continue. We, the United States are allies with Israel, and with our assisting Israel in any way, I’m sure we too will be on their bullseye. I knew that Israel would want to get this done prior to Obama being sworn in. Let’s just sit by and see what happens with Iran….seems Israel is concerned about Iran attacking them, since Iran is so verbal about their hatred for Israel. How much more is Israel supposed to take, with the verbal hatred for them by Iran and the Palestinians constantly hitting them with rocket attacks? I stand by Israel, and hope they find peace soon. I hope too that Obama will stand by them also. I’m sure Obama is waking up and smelling the coffee now that he has been briefed. He and Biden with their hatred of Bush will now see why Bush made the decisions he did….we will see Obama do the same now that he is in office (once sworn in). All those who thought that Obama would/will bring change in so far as fighting the war on terror - well they are dead wrong. Talk is cheap, and now once Obama is in office I’m sure he is going to realize that he too will stand by Israel and feel that his hands are tied in so far as trying to put in place ‘pre election idealism’….
Oh and one more thing….with what is going on with Israel - why is our Government still on vacation? Holiday break? What the heck, but oh yes, most are Democratic…right? Yep, that is why. Most Democrats don’t think that we need to have anything to do with Israel, and that we should turn our backs most of our allies. They need to get off their butts and get back into DC and begin to work in so far as assisting Israel. Most are lazy and don’t bother voting or coming to work anyway, because they are living in a pre 9/11 fog…..thinking that nothing will happen to the United States and that it was all fabricated. We are all going to wish Bush and his hard ball response on ensuring we are protected is back in office. God help us with the stupidity of the Democrats now in office. Many are not briefed about all the attacks that have been thwarted….and believe we are safe.
