Mumbai: Where are the 14 Other Pakistani-Trained Terrorists?

The lone gunman captured alive in Mumbai has told interrogators only 10 of the 24 young men in his year-long terrorist training course were sent to Mumbai last week, leaving 14 still in Pakistan, ready to strike again.

Security officials say they have been warned by Indian and U.S. officials that a second attack on the Indian capital city New Delhi is possible.

U.S. officials say the captured gunman’s account corroborates other intelligence that points to the role of the Pakistani-based Lashkar e Taiba, a group affiliated with al Qaeda that opposes Indian rule over the disputed state of Kashmir.

U.S. counter-terrorism officials say Lashkar e Taiba’s ability to operate with impunity inside Pakistan is one reason U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has warned Pakistan “this is a time for complete, absolute, total transparency and cooperation.”

A warning issued by U.S. intelligence agencies to Indian officials in mid-October suggests the U.S. may know the precise location of the training camps or headquarters in Pakistan, according to sources in the intelligence community.

Notice how the terrorism continues even after capture… The simple suggestion that there are more of his buddies ready and able to do it all again will keep the govt and security forces hopping for the foreseeable future… Whether there are more guys or not.

Just another clear example indicating the need to make those “tribal areas” into “ruble areas”. Can you imagine how many terrorists will be taken out if that action took place? To me, it seems there’s too much “politicing” going on and not enough action to rid the source of the problem.

The terrorists are probably smelling victory. If only they could push all civil order over the brink, they win.

As terrible as these recent events are, at least issues are bubbling to the surface. All Pakistanis, especially those in power, need to grasp the cost of continuing to tolerate these killers in their midst. If they do little–or continue to shuffle and jive–they risk losing everything.

Some people in the Pakistani media said 9/11 was a conspiracy from the US to garner support of the world against Muslim countries!

Just visited few Pakistani blogs discussing Mumbai terror issues, most of them seem to agree to 9/11 conspiracy aired in Pakistani media, naturally it can be clearly made out from their language how uneductated and uninformed they are, mostly the discussions are in Urdu or in poor English.

How uncivic these people could be even in their thinking. God help them with good education and sanity so they can be able to sense the denial state would bring doom to themselves in Pakistan.

I agree with Moh Asif. I have checked the videos being aired on pakistan networks. How on earth can people be so uneducated, short sighted (including the pakistani media) ? Claiming 9/11 and 26/11 to conspiracy theories!! It is a failed state, where people lack basic education, the leaders breed a pool of terrorists, media is a mere puppet, and the government is just a joke. Develop yourself pakistanis, entire planet spits on you. This is just because you guys have allowed yourself to be dictated by certain elements in your own land. Get out of the state of denial. Live in peace, and let others live in peace.
