He said “I was reading about L. Frank Baum, the creator of the Wizard of OZ”.

Doesn’t it bother anyone that the stewardess are so drunk with power that when someone doesn’t follow instructions all they have to do is accuse a passenger of saying the word “bomb”?

If they don’t like you or if they’re having a bad day or if you think that their service is rude, they simply agree that you said the word “bomb” and your life as you know it is over. Being a jerk is not a crime. Making a false accusation is.

Adults should be able to use their common sense and be able to know the difference between a threat and an annoying passenger.

If you want fascism, apply a blanket rule.

“No Jokes” is one of the saddest signs at the airport.

Well, the writer who asked, “I wonder what he really said,” was right on! We don’t know what the passenger actually said. We weren’t there, right? So, why do we think we have the answer to whether the passenger is a true threat to on the airlines. And, what can be said and what cannot be said. Let’s have a warning phamplet that tells the passenger the following: We, the _______ Airlines have these stipulations. If you do not follow them you can be immediately arrested by the THOUGHT POLICE who heard you through the telescreen on board or by BIG BROTHER who has informed the THOUGHT POLICE. We will not tolerate any word that even sounds like “bomb” such as “Braun, Brown, Bam, Bim” to be heard in any form of sounding from any passenger. If heard, you will be interrogated extensively and your legal rights taken away from you.

Regardless, sounds like a spoiled adult! YOU DO NOT SAY BOMB ON AN AIRPLANE,

in an airport, in a train station, on a train, on a bus and so on.

This is why I will not fly. Its a zero common sense zone anymore with extreme paranoia. Screw the airlines, let them go bankrupt. Last time I checked saying something like “Why, do you think its a bomb?” is NOT a bomb threat. I am sure the sheeple will bleat about how this guy was an “idiot” or “moron” but he probably was sick of being treated like a child.

This is not the time to make any kind of comments while on a plane. I am glad they acted this way. The general public had better start taking this stuff serious. They are people out there that hate us more than they love there oun children. THat is very scary

he probably said something like “Why, do you think it’s a bomb?” or (sarcastically) “Yeah, it’s a bomb laptop.” The rules for this kind of thing are VERY broad.
