Kidnapping Capital of the U.S.A. – Phoenix Arizona

Brian Ross and ABC News report what officials caution is now a dangerous and even deadly crime wave. Phoenix, Arizona has become the kidnapping capital of America, with more incidents than any other city in the world outside of Mexico City and over 370 cases last year alone. But local authorities say Washington, DC is too obsessed with al Qaeda terrorists to care about what is happening in their own backyard right now.

“We’re in the eye of the storm,” Phoenix Police Chief Andy Anderson told ABC News of the violent crimes and ruthless tactics spurred by Mexico’s drug cartels that have expanded business across the border. “If it doesn’t stop here, if we’re not able to fix it here and get it turned around, it will go across the nation,” he said.

California Attorney General Jerry Brown warned that as the U.S. government focuses so intently on Islamic extremist groups, other types of terrorists – those involved with the same kidnappings, extortion and drug cartels that are sweeping Phoenix – are overlooked.

“Those [criminals], for the average Californian or the average America, may be a more immediate threat to their well being,” Brown said.

In fact, kidnappings and other crimes connected to the Mexican drug cartels are quickly spreading across the border, from Texas to California. The majority of the victims are either illegal aliens or connected to the drug trade.

An ABC News’ investigation uncovered horrific cases of chopped-off hands, legs and heads when a victim’s family doesn’t pay up fast enough.

Further proof that we need to secure our borders. Perhaps Mr. Obama has lined up some new jobs with that stimulous bill that will do just that….let’s hope!

Homeland security? What Homeland Security? It would appear the our homeland is anything but secure. Anyhreat to our security needs to be addressed. The people in Homeland Security seem to not be doing their jobs.

We cannot turn to the Federal Government for all our needs. The states and their people must deal with this and keep the right of government at home. Arizona must remember that their people are their responsibility and empowering their own people to use their God-given rights to defend their homes and families in concert with their local police is the way to deal with this. Please don’t go to the federal people to solve all our problems.

The kidnappins are perpatrated by criminals who are probably in the country illegally; buy or steal weapons from other criminals; extort money to further their own status or for revenge against another gang. The U.S. will not actively pursue apprehension and prosecution of the illegals because they almost have the same rights of law abiding American citizens. Those who will be punished will be law abiding American cititzens (the U.S. Attny. Gen. is attempting to take away guns) by imposing restricive laws that won’t allow law abiding citizens to protect their homes and families. Then the cartels will have the freedoms they want; the U.S. Govt. will be the only government; free men will cease to exist.

I live in Arizona and the illegals are a huge problem here. The infamous Sheriff is the only one who is willing to take on this problem but then you have the people that think he is wrong. I am here to tell you he isn’t. A lot of the traffic accidents and crims come from the illegals. Wake up america – my grandparents came over to live in a better country BUT THEY DID IT THE RIGHT WAY! They didn’t sneak in or take on someone else’s identity. You want to look at the problems here – its the ones who think the Sheriff is wrong. Those are the very people who are probably trying to bring in people themselves or who are not supposed to be here anyway. We cant open our borders to every single person and leave our own americans in the dust with no jobs. Arizona is a great place but this is getting bad and something needs to be done. If you want to get closer – just look at the pictures of the beheadings, people caught in this with their hands and feet cut off. This is terrible and we are allowing this? Sheriff Arpaio – my hats off to you for doing your job and keeping us safe. Please close our borders.

My mother came here after WWII, she is from South Wales. She had to follow all the rules and go through the proper channels to become a citizen. If she had to follow the law along with thousands of others, then why don’t Mexicans and other illegals? Why do we let illegal people stay here? America is a free country and is still the leading country of opportunity in the world. If you want to live here that is great. We open our arms to the world, however, you must do it legally just like everyone else. Also, everyone should have to learn to speak english. I don’t mind hearing other languages spoken and I encourage people to keep their native language and pass it down in their generations. BUT, if you are living here you should have to know how to speak english well. It is the official language of the US. As for the law…..find every illegal and deport them…good along with the bad. Then show them how to come to this country legally. Make it well known, that ANYONE who is caught here illegally will be deported no questions asked. If you are caught a second time you will be executed. I will guarantee you that after showing with examples that we are not joking around, we will not have an illegal issue. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire and this illegal thing is getting way out of control. Americans need to stand up and take back our country and stop letting illegals do as they wish. With that all said….may GOD Bless the WORLD.

I have enjoyed going into Baja every couple of months for many years and I know if I am caught doing anything wrong, the Mexican Policia and the Federalies have the right to put me in jail,or kick me out while all my possessions can be kept by the Mexican Gov.. I do follow their rules out of respect to their country , Their people should do the same in traveling to our country.. fair is fair… I am more concerned with the other nationalitys coming across too…. We have no idea what is in our neighborhoods, And the idea that they can sneak in, walk in, no barriers to keep them out as the Border Patrol cannot harrass them!!! The fences can’t keep them out, the tunnels go under the fence..
