Iran Has Fuel For Nuclear Bomb – IAEA

The report by the IAEA, the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog, surprises diplomats and arms control experts. Officials note that major obstacles remain to building a weapon.

Iran has made no such gestures and has slowed its expansion of machinery producing nuclear fuel, having increased production capacity by less than 5% over the last three months, according to a report issued Thursday by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Another IAEA report released Thursday raises suspicions about graphite and uranium particles found at an alleged nuclear site in Syria that was bombed by Israel in 2007.

The reports, the latest updates from the arms control watchdog for the United Nations, show that Iran had amassed about 2,227 pounds of low-enriched, or reactor-grade, nuclear fuel by late January. Physicists estimate that producing the 55 pounds or so of highly enriched, or weapons-grade, uranium needed for an atomic warhead requires 2,205 to 3,748 pounds of low-enriched uranium.

Iran’s increased supply of low-enriched uranium surprised diplomats and arms control experts who had assumed that Iran would need until the end of the year to acquire enough fuel for a bomb.

One expert, David Albright of the Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security, said he was “blindsided” by the report.

“We are surprised,” Albright said. “We did not expect this.”

Albright said “We did not expect this”, where in the heck has he been? What the heck has he been doing? Reading comic books????
Iran’s activities should be no surprise to anyone! They have been boasting about what they want to do for quite some time now and to “sit back and think, well, they really don’t mean any harm….we will keep a close eye on them….” is pure stupidity!
What’s next? Wait for Iran to actually strike Isreal before taking action against Iran to stop their nuclear process? The time to take action is NOW, not later! Wonder what thoughts are going around Isreal right now? Oh well, not to worry, right? Everything is just fine in my backyard…..our country sure has changed.

The IAEA report says Iran has slowed the process of installing and operating centrifuges, which are a key instrument in the process of enriching uranium. The ISIS’s Albright says the reason was probably political rather than technical.

“They have up to 6,000 centrifuges they can operate and they’re operating about 4,000 of them,” Albright says. “But they continue to build more.

Despite several UN resolutions and three sets of sanctions, Iran so far has refused to give up its uranium-enrichment program.

Iran is preparing for an attack on Israel. We will all watch this unfold over the next few years. They will be using their recently launched satellite in outerspace to guide the bomb/bombs towards the country of Israel. This WILL happen. Prepare for WW3.
