Osama bin Laden Plotting New Attacks

Osama bin Laden and the core al-Qaida leadership are plotting new attacks against the United States and its allies from safe havens
in Pakistan, a senior US official warned Thursday.
Officials have said President Barack Obama’s new Afghan-Pakistan strategy will focus on destroying safe havens for terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
As part of the strategy, the United States will deploy 4,000 military trainers to Afghanistan by this autumn to build up Afghan armed forces to the point they are able to take the lead in military operations. The officials have also said the cost of US military operations in Afghanistan was expected to rise 60 percent from the current $2 billion a month.
The move to deploy an extra brigade follows Obama’s decision last month to send in 17,000 reinforcements to take on insurgents challenging the Kabul government in the south and east of the country.
The strategy is expected to rely on more US boots on the ground, expanding Kabul’s security forces, wooing “moderate” insurgents, stepping up civilian aid efforts and a diplomatic push focused on Pakistan’s role.

What else could April 2009 bring? We have the situation in Mexico(is bin Laden tied to this also?) next we have the April 1 Conficker/Downadup virus programmed to do no one knows. Then we have the launch by N Korea of either a missile or “satellite”. Anything else out there? What would be good news, for the world, is dispose of bin Laden NOW/SOON, just start bombing the mountains like in Afghan like at start of war(unless he has already fled again). Forget the survellience and start bombing every crevice and possible opening into the mountain.
Sure, we should be worried about the economy. However, none of that will matter if we all die in the attack Osama bin Laden himself said that he would carry out. Wake up, people! Remember what happened the last time we neglected the terror threat.
It is unfortunate that so many Americans fear the truth and will accept it only after it has come to pass. So was our experience within our own intelligence commmunity prior to 911. It is easier to pretend that we are not at risk of attack then admit the bogey man is around the corner. For those of us who have ever served our country in time of war, it is up to us to prepare for the eventuality of what is going to happen.
