Michael Savage Among 16 Banned From UK
Sixteen people banned from entering the UK were “named and shamed” by the Home Office today.
Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said she decided to make public the names of 16 people banned since October so others could better understand what sort of behavior Britain was not prepared to tolerate.
The list includes hate preachers, anti-gay protesters and an American US talk show host.
“I think it’s important that people understand the sorts of values and sorts of standards that we have here, the fact that it’s a privilege to come and the sort of things that mean you won’t be welcome in this country,” Ms Smith told GMTV.
“Coming to this country is a privilege. If you can’t live by the rules that we live by, the standards and the values that we live by, we should exclude you from this country and, what’s more, now we will make public those people that we have excluded.
“We are publishing the names of 16 of those that we have excluded since October. We are telling people who they are and why it is we don’t want them in this country.”
She said the number of people excluded from Britain had risen from an average of two a month to five a month since October.
The list of the 16 “least wanted” includes radio talk show host Michael Savage, real name Michael Weiner.
“This is someone who has fallen into the category of fomenting hatred, of such extreme views and expressing them in such a way that it is actually likely to cause inter-community tension or even violence if that person were allowed into the country,” Ms Smith told BBC Breakfast.
If the UK were maintaining a list and alerting those on it that they were unwelcome at least I could understand it. But this is different. Publishing this list is done to intimidate others who express their opinions about morality. The UK is wrong to do this.
Who cares. I have been there and it is not as much a privelege as they think. This kind of political pandering is probably being eaten up by their left-leaning populace though.
I don’t agree with Savage being banned.
However, Savage is no friend of free speech. Despite Savage painting himself as a champion of free speech, he is anything but. He took the organisation CAIR to court to prevent them from using snippets of his show on their website. He lost. However, had Savage prevailed, free speech would have lessened for us all.

Rush Limbaugh and Shaun Hannity will be next.
Maybe the UK will ban children and parents of anti-social behaviour or at least lock them up in prison camps on a remote island.
Maybe then they will ban all politicians and lawyers and talk radio hosts and all news except that of Radio Free China.
Maybe then they will just fumigate the rest of us and leave this planet alone for the rest of life which resides here free from goverments and free to be wild – forever.

Savage is an accoplished PHD with over 25 books published (a few best sellers).
It is not envogue in the current polital systems of the world to speak of
borders, language and culture. There is a reason his nationally syndicated
show is #3 in the U.S. To place a man of ideas and opinions, with child
