I have used Steri-pen for a few years now. It is an excellent product. I have filtered drinking water at my house and it tastes great, but when I want to seal up some water for an emergency kit, or camping trip, I also use the steripen. My drinking water is free of particulates out of the tap, but the Steri-Pen handles bacterial or other organisms that basic filtration does not. I have left water in a bottle for months after treating with Steri-Pen, and it is awesome.
