Terror Drill Planned For New York Harbor
New York City police (NYPD) and the U.S. Coast Guard plan a terrorism drill near Ellis and Liberty Islands in New York Harbor next week.
The NYPD Special Operations Division has scheduled the terror drill between noon and 1 p.m. on Thursday.
The terrorism exercise will simulate a report of shots fired on a New York Waterways vessel, followed by lost contact with the crew. Plans also call for the use of a NYPD helicopter.
The fact that there are only 2 tweets on this should tell you that you haven’t gotten the word out enough. Try radio ads and tv spots in Time Square, and maybe, just maybe, we won’t have a large number of very scared New Yorkers.
Will this “drill” include the military from the UK, Germany, Australia, Mexico and Canada that are currently training here with FEMA in case of a “man-made-disaster”?
Again, this is probably a bad idea.
