Agent Mike Scioli of the U.S. Border Patrol confirms that the Tucson sector of the Border Patrol is facing a worsening problem with Mara Salvatrucha, a Salvadoran street gang that now controls the flow of arms, drugs, and illegal aliens into the U.S.

After 9/11, Mara Salvatrucha attracted the attention of top al Qaeda officials, who realized that the gang could be used to smuggle operatives and weapons into the United States. An agreement was forged between the terrorists and the gang-bangers.

It is overdue for the military to help patrol the border, not as police but as a deterent. They need to know the U.S. means business, stay away from our border! The military’s job is to protect the Homeland which does not always have to be on the other side of the world. This is a matter of security and to protect our citizens!

  2. Lloyd Booth says:

Many Americans may not have heard of Mara Salvatrucha, but this El Salvador organization has relationships with transnational organizations with the intent to smuggle weapons, drugs, terrorists, and criminals into this country to create harm. Plus, America should not forget about the other criminals identified as gay bashers, flag burners, gangbangers, drug dealers, and murderers that fill this country’s streets. Not to mention concerns surrounding possible connections between terrorist groups and Mara Salvatrucha that seems to be gaining some real momentum.
