Russian Subs Patrolling Off East Coast of U.S.
A pair of nuclear-powered Russian attack submarines has been patrolling off the eastern seaboard of the United States in recent days, a rare mission that has raised concerns inside the Pentagon and intelligence agencies about a more assertive stance by the Russian military.
The episode has echoes of the cold war era, when the United States and the Soviet Union regularly parked submarines off each other’s coasts to steal military secrets, track the movements of their underwater fleets and be poised for war.
But the collapse of the Soviet Union all but eliminated the ability of the Russian Navy to operate far from home ports, making the current submarine patrols thousands of miles from Russia more surprising for military officials and defense policy experts.

According to Defense Department officials, one of the Russian submarines remained in international waters on Tuesday about 200 miles off the coast of the United States. The location of the second remained unclear. One senior official said the second submarine traveled south in recent days toward Cuba, while another senior official with access to reports on the surveillance mission said it had sailed away in a northerly direction.
Russia is sending powerful signals in many strategic areas across the globe. Recently Russia finished a readiness exercise with China along with other C.I.S. nations. Plans are in place for a combined Russian-Iranian naval exercise in the Caspian Sea. The Tartus port in Syria has been enlarged to become a permanent naval base in the Meditteranean. The Russian Federation is on the move and is obviously planning for war yet most are oblivious to who is the target of their aggression. Their is but one nation that threatens to undermine several key enterprises that Moscow seeks to expand, N.A.T.O. is but little threat in their minds compared to Israel.
Moscow as well as Tehran have joined in a strategic alliance and war planning to pre-emptively attack Israel at the nearest oppurtunity before Iranian targets come under Israeli attack. Russian naval presence has also for the first time been extended to the Persian Gulf in the Bahraini and Omani ports opposite Bushuer. Their are other players involved in this planned assault against Israel however in recent days they too have been steadily armed and prepared. Their time is approaching rapidly and their goal is total domination of Middle East oil. They believe with the elimination of Israel they will easily take the Gulf Emirates as well as Saudi Arabia.
Why are they here since I live on the eastern coast I’m concern or should I not be. I don’t believe in excersize’s there here for a reason

Wake up folks, just because they don’t have as much money as they used to have doesn’t mean they want to be our friend. They never have and never will. They feel threatened and want to rule the world. Along with Iran, Israel, China…read history folks!
1st thing is i would have some subs in international waters off the coast of russia and other countrys.second i would be asking what are they doing off our coast.id let them know that nobodys untouchable.to back off and dont start no shit and there will be no shit.
