Police Seek Person of Interest
Police have identified a person of interest in the fatal shootings of four Lakewood police officers. Ed Troyer of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said they are looking for 37-year-old Maurice Clemmons.
Troyer said evidence leads police to believe that Clemmons was in the area of the shootings. He has a lengthy criminal history.
The attack occurred at Forza Coffee Co., east of McChord Air Force Base near Tacoma, Wash., about 35 miles south of Seattle.

Officers are now searching for one male suspect who opened fire in the shop before fleeing on foot, q13Fox.com reported. Police have not yet ruled out an accomplice.
Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said the four officers killed — three men and a woman from the Lakewood Police Department — were in uniform and catching up on paperwork at the beginning of their shifts when they were attacked at 8:15 a.m.
They are the first Lakewood officers killed since the department was formed in 2004.

Yet another tragedy befalls the Law Enforcement community. May God Bless the families of the fallen officers. Our Brothers and Sisters place their lives in danger every day. This is one day that will be long remembered for the sacrifices these officers made.
NO MERCY! Shoot those Bastards DEAD! I refuse to pay for these bastards rotting in jail. The citizens need to start taking to the streets and arming themselves. Vigilantes need to rise up and target those who target the men and women who protect our freedom and lively hood.
Our prayers are with the families of these four officers. Words cannot express the debt of gratitude society owes them.
My prayers to the family, God Bless.
The first thing I thought about these 4 officers that were shot, was” Oh no I hope the families are alright”,and then I thought how utterly aweful; honorable officers of our country protecting us all, sitting inocently in a shop doing their duty relaxing a moment ,Oh God Bless everyone that is hurting, and please try to forgive this terrible man, everyone needs to forgive to heal,I was shot and kidnapped and I had to forgive it took a long time through alot of tears fears and comforts from friends and especially through prayer! I want to express my sorrow and sympathy to the families of the officers killed rescently in the line of duty. As a Doctor, retired navy captain, and reserve police officer, i want to, again, express my sympathy for their loss.

I am overwhelmingly pleased with the communities response to these murders. It does remind us to not take life so casually. Today is a gift.
My thoughts and prayers are with these fine officers and their families, who now must deal with the grief of having their family members taken from them so senselessly, tragically and suddenly.
