This is a very disturbing story. Last week WKYT  reported that there was concern and worry when Bill Sparkman didn’t show up for his after school work assignment at Johnson Elementary School. (Questions surround Laurel County man’s death.) The 51 year old Sparkman’s body was later found more than 30 miles away.

At the time of the report, police did not say how Sparkman died or even what kind of injuries he had.

Today, the AP is reporting that the FBI is investigating the hanging death of a U.S. Census worker near a Kentucky cemetery, and a law enforcement official is reported to have said the word ‘fed” was found scrawled on the dead man’s chest. The man identified in the story is Bill Sparkman.

The Census has suspended door-to-door interviews in rural Clay County, where the body was found, pending the outcome of the investigation.
