The Federal Aviation Administration has confirmed a helicopter and a small plane have collided above the Hudson River in New York City.
Six people were reportedly aboard both aircraft. Firefighters report one victim has been airlifted to an area hospital. Debris has been reportedly located near Pier 30 along the Hudson River.

A Yemeni airliner with 150 people aboard has crashed near the Comoros Islands, an aviation official in Yemen says.
An airliner with 150 people on board belonging to Yemeni state carrier Yemenia Air crashed in the Indian Ocean archipelago of Comoros Tuesday, a senior government official said.
“We don’t know if there are any survivors among the 150 people on the plane,” Comoros vice-president Idi Nadhoim told Reuters from the airport at the main island’s capital Moroni.
Nadhoim said the accident happened in the early hours of Tuesday, but could not give any more details.
The location was not immediately known, but a medical worker in the town of Mitsamiouli, on the main island Grande Comore, said he had been called into the local hospital.
“They have just called me to come to the hospital. They said a plane had crashed,” he told Reuters.
A Comoran police source said the plane was believed to have come down in the sea. “We really have no sea rescue capabilities,” he added.
Commuter Plane Crashes Into Home In Upstate NY – Up To 50 Onboard Flight 3407

New York state police say a 50-passenger commuter plane has crashed into a home in suburban Buffalo.
Unconfirmed reports state this is Flight 3407 from Newark to Buffalo.
State Trooper John Manthey says the plane hit a house in Clarence around 10:10 p.m. Thursday. The house is engulfed in flames.
He says they don’t know whether there were any passengers on the plane. They also don’t know if there were any injuries in the home.
Manthey says the plane may have been headed to Buffalo Niagara International Airport. He says authorities have called the Federal Aviation Administration.

Light Plane Crashes Near San Francisco Bay Bridge

Two people aboard a small, private plane that crash landed into San Francisco Bay on the north side of the Bay Bridge Toll Plaza about 2 p.m. have been taken to a Coast Guard facility and will be taken on to a hospital, the Coast Guard said.
The Oakland Fire Department said the small plane began to sink right after it landed. Oakland Fire and police rescue workers and the Coast Guard remain at the scene.
